Andrew Bernard is Managing Director, Head of Asia for Tradeweb, responsible for developing the company’s business in the region. He was previously Managing Director, Head of Distribution for Europe and Asia, overseeing international client relationships.
 
Mr. Bernard joined Tradeweb in 2003 as Director of Sales and Marketing. Prior to this appointment, he worked as Head of European Government Bond Sales and as Principal of the Global Leveraged Group for Bank of America, selling fixed-income derivatives to hedge funds and proprietary traders. Before BoA, Mr. Bernard was at Société Générale as Director of UK sales, and worked for more than ten years at Bankers Trust in London and Hong Kong in a variety of senior roles, including Head of Sales at BT Gilts. He began his career in the graduate programme at Lehman Brothers.
 
Mr. Bernard was an Army Bursar at Oxford University, and graduated in 1985 with a degree in English Language and Literature.

Clarence Choon joined ANZ in 2011,as the Regional Director to set up and develop the global fixed income research and advisory capabilities for ANZ’s Asia business. As the chief investment strategist for global fixed income, he is responsible for formulating investment views for both the rates and credit markets in investment grade and high yield spaces. He is also responsible for setting up a fixed income model portfolio of global credits, and for authoring key investment publications. In addition, as the Regional Director of Investment Insights, he is responsible for contributing to the asset allocation views across all asset classes,including equities and fixed income. He is a core member of the Asia Investment Committee, which determines the strategic and tactical asset allocation across different asset classes, including country and sector allocation within global equities and global fixed income.

Prior to joining ANZ, Clarence was a global credit portfolio manager, responsible for managing institutional clients’ assets.

Clarence holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Stanford University, and in addition, he was awarded a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD.

Ms. Susan Estes is a chief executive with exceptional depth and understanding of the fixed income markets. She has over 30 years of experience trading U.S. Treasuries and related fixed-income products; the majority spent on starting, developing and managing domestic and international high-quality rates operations and related businesses for large financial institutions including Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank, as well as start-ups. Susan is a past member of the prestigious Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee (TBAC), a Federal Advisory Committee, meets quarterly with Treasury to provide advice on funding requirements and separately with the Federal Reserve Board of Governors to address topical market issues. Ms. Estes served under Treasury Secretary Snow and Secretary Paulson as well as Fed Chairman Greenspan and Bernanke. Julian plays a central role in formulating views on China and helps present them to the clients and the media. He is also responsible for compiling most of the key macroeconomic forecasts.  

Throughout the past year Julian has argued that consensus expectations for China’s near-term outlook had swung to being far too bearish. The prevailing view was that growth would slow further. He suggested that in fact policy stimulus would drive a rebound in 2016. Julian also warned clients against expecting a sharp depreciation of the Renminbi. Julian will be speaking on the economic outlook for China and the implications for policy, drawing on the extensive analysis conducted by our team of China experts.

Mr Loh Boon Chye was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Exchange effective 14 July 2015. He is also an Executive and Non-Independent Director on the SGX Board.
With a career in the financial industry that spans 26 years, Mr Loh was most recently Deputy President and Head of Asia Pacific Global Markets at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch from December 2012 to March 2015. He was also the firm’s Country Executive for Singapore and Southeast Asia and a member of its Asia Pacific Executive Committee.

Mr Loh began his career as an Investment Officer with the Monetary Authority of Singapore in 1989. He joined the Singapore branch of Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. of New York in 1992, managing its Southeast Asia fixed-income and derivatives business.

From 1995 to 2012, he was with Deutsche Bank AG, where he held various leadership roles including Head of Corporate & Investment Banking for Asia Pacific, Head of Global Markets for Asia, and Chief Executive of Global Markets at Deutsche Bank AG in Singapore.

Over the years, Mr Loh has played a key role in the development of the capital markets in Southeast Asia, having held a number of senior advisory positions. Apart from his directorship on the SGX Board from October 2003 to September 2012, he has also been a Director on the Board of GIC Pte Ltd since November 2012.

He has served as Chairman of the Capital Markets Working Group since 1998, Deputy President of ACI Singapore, the financial markets association, since 1999 and Chairman of the Debt Capital Markets Committee of the Singapore Investment Banking Association since 2000. Mr Loh is also a council member and Distinguished Fellow at the Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore, and was Chairman of the Singapore Foreign Exchange Market Committee. He was awarded for Outstanding Contribution to Financial Markets in Asia in the Euromoney Awards for Excellence in 2010.

Before founding Dojima, Nachi was the global head of multi-asset electronic trading and derivatives clearing technology for Credit Suisse. His clientele included close to a 1,000 firms ranging from small hedge funds to very large asset management firms. During Nachi's long career with Credit Suisse, he managed several global technology teams across equities, fixed income, prime services and wealth management areas. Ashley Perrott is Head of Pan Asia fixed income within UBS AM and has over 30 years experience in fixed income markets. Ashley joined UBS AM in 2004 in the Sydney office, before moving to Singapore in 2008. He took on his current role in May 2012. Prior to joining UBS, Ashley gained extensive fund management experience covering a wide variety of investment markets and clients.

Warut is leading Dagong Hong Kong’s Asian credit rating team which produces credit research and rating reports across various industries. Dagong Hong Kong is an SFC-regulated international rating agency, based in Hong Kong. Prior to Dagong Hong Kong, he was a Director of Asian Credit Research at Societe Generale and ING as well as a Head of ALM Credit Analysis at Standard Chartered Bank.  His credit research career spans over 22 years in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand and entails various capabilities from project finance, leverage finance, credit risk management, sell-side credit research, treasury, and rating advisory. James is the Managing Director of Deriv Asia. James’ last position was Managing Director and Asia Pacific Head of XVA desk for Royal Bank of Scotland in Singapore.  Prior to that he was in London working on the CVA desk with ABN Amro.

Overall James has around 20 years of banking experience primarily in market and credit risk across London, New York and Singapore. James has also co-authored handbook section on Counterparty risk and XVA/ Capital for PRMIA (Professional Risk Managers’ International Association).  James is a regular speaker at regional and international risk conferences presenting mainly on technical topics of risk and capital relating to XVA, RWA optimisation and risk methodologies.
Shilan Shah

Shilan leads the economic research on India, overseeing all analysis and forecasts for the key macro indicators and asset classes. The research is disseminated to clients through written reports and speaking engagements. He is responsible for the creation, development and growth of our dedicated India Economics Service. 

Shilan successfully developed proprietary inflation indicators and currently developing an in-house growth indicator. He is a recognized voice on the Indian economy and markets in the media. Shilan will be speaking on the outlook for the Indian economy, enabling me to draw upon my analytic skills and experience at Capital Economics to present to the audience in a clear and concise manner.
Vivek Sharma

Vivek Sharma comes with more than 13 years of experience across Private Banking, Investment Management and Consumer banking in both India and Singapore.

Vivek has worked with Global organisations like Citibank and ING earlier, before joining Edelweiss. Vivek has worked across product, strategy and business development roles and has been instrumental in setting up new businesses both at ING Investment Management and Edelweiss.

Vivek is currently responsible for the Global Asset Management business at Edelweiss for South East Asia & Middle East. In this role, Vivek is instrumental for developing the B2B distribution across institutional clients, private banks and family offices, for the asset management products and identifying new products and opportunities for various client segment. Vivek is also involved in guiding the strategy for the International business at Global Asset Management

In his previous assignment at Edelweiss, Vivek was responsible for setting up the Products & Investment Advisory function for the Global Wealth Management business. The desk is responsible for Investment advice across asset classes, identifying opportunities and trends and creating product solutions for ultra HNI’s and family offices client being managed by the Global Wealth Management business

Vivek’s last stint with ING Investment Management was as Head of Product. He was also part for the core team responsible for setting up the offshore Asset Management business providing investment avenues for offshore investors into India.

Vivek is a frequent speaker in International forums including Hubbis, Structured Retail Products etc . Vivek is an Economics Graduate from St. Xaviers College and an MBA graduate from Symbiosis Institute, India.   He has also completed his CFA level 1

Before becoming CEO of Algomi, Stu was Managing Director, Global Head of Matched Principal Trading in Fixed Income at UBS. In 2010 – Stu launched UBS PIN–FI – the first internaliser model in Fixed Income at a global investment bank, covering bonds and CDS. 

Prior to this, Stu held various senior roles in Fixed Income both at UBS and Merrill Lynch, in addition to having served as a board member of Tradeweb and of Baymarkets, the OTC trading system vendor.

Stu holds an MPhil from Cambridge University.
Siok Kuan Tham

Siok Kuan THAM is the Head of Fixed Income, Singapore for Active Investment Management at Deutsche Asset Management (Asia). Siok Kuan joined the Asian Fixed Income Team at Deutsche Asset Management in 2000 and she managed the Deutsche Lion Bond Fund between 2000-2004 and 2005-2006. Thereafter, she was seconded to the Hong Kong office in 2006 to focus on the greater China markets and returned to Singapore at the end of 2008 to manage the pan-Asian fixed income strategies. She resumed management of the Deutsche Lion Bond Fund in 2012 and has since been managing the same. Prior to joining Deutsche Asset Management, Siok Kuan had worked for five (5) years in DBS Asset Management covering fixed income investments and prior to that, business development. In these roles, her investment management remit covered global fixed income and currencies, with a primary focus on the Asia Pacific region. Siok Kuan holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Accounting and Financial Analysis from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (U.K.).

Mr Tsai Li Renn is Senior Vice President and Head, Fixed Income Trading at Singapore Exchange (SGX). He is responsible for executing and running our Fixed Income Trading Venue. Mr Tsai started his career in 1993 in New York and has experience running a wide range of businesses ranging from banking / origination, structuring, trading & syndication, risk management to asset management.

Mr Tsai joined SGX in July 2013. Prior to joining SGX, Mr Tsai served as Senior Vice President of Debt Capital Markets at DBS Bank from 2011-2013. He joined from DBS Asset Management where he was Fixed Income Investment Director and a member of the Management Committee. Prior to DBS Asset Management, Mr Tsai was most recently Managing Director and Head of Structured Solutions at UBS.

Gordon Tsui heads the fixed income team at Taikang Asset Management (Hong Kong), which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China’s leading domestic life insurer Taikang Life Insurance Company. He has responsibility for managing Taikang’s USD bond portfolio as well as developing its third-party fixed income investment management business. Prior to joining Taikang in Dec 2014, Gordon was Deputy Chief Investment Officer of Hang Seng Investment Management and Lead Fund Manager of Hang Seng RMB Bond Fund, which won the “Best in Class” award for “RMB Bond” category in Hong Kong by the Chinese edition of Bloomberg Businessweek (based on Morningstar data as of Sep 2014 including 1- & 3-year returns as well as Sharpe ratios).

Gemma Wong joined Allianz Global Investors in July 2007 and was previously working with HSBC Asset Management in a cash management role. Before that she worked at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), based in Toronto, in a similar role. She is a graduate of University of Waterloo, with a degree in Economics and holds a Master’s degree in Social Science from University of Hong Kong. She has passed HKSI’s exams as required for The HK SFC Type 1, 2, & 9 licenses. 
Josh Wong

A Portfolio Manager at Atlas Asset Management Pte. Ltd., Josh Wong manages the portfolios of clients on a discretionary or advisory basis. He also sits on the Investment Policy Committee and sets investment and asset allocation policies. 

Prior to Atlas, Josh was a day one member of a quantitative hedge fund focusing on investment research and implementation of systematic trading strategies. Before the hedge fund role Josh had experience managing a fixed income portfolio on the trading desk of Credit Suisse. Josh has worked in the finance industry for over a decade, starting out his finance career at the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Josh graduated with a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA and a MSc in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, USA. Josh is also an Affiliate Member of the CFA Institute and has passed all three exams.
